Dilators
General information and recommendations
- Dr Hart gives you a “Soul Source GRS Pelvic Trainer - Size #P1” (⅞ in / 9 in) and the “Soul Source Silicone Pelvic Trainers - Small Set” (from ½ in / 2 ½ in to 1 in / 4 in).
- While this gives you a start, it is not (in my opinion) adequate for the future if you want to use your vagina.
- I saw the Soul Source “GRS Pelvic Trainers” recommended quite often online, and bought the full set from the #P2 size, up to size #4.
- I do not regret this expense, 292 USD (450 AUD) with 56 USD (86 AUD) shipping.
- I personally recommend the “GRS Pelvic Trainers” set of dilators, and preferred the rigid plastic over silicone dilators. Especially with their curved shape as I feel it better conforms to the internal structure.
- Another reason I bought these was that with these dilators you can also work on vaginal depth at the same time as girth.
- With the initial set you can only do this with the #P1, this was uncomfortable due to its small diameter at the tip.
- With this set I have a maximum of ~6.7 inches of vaginal depth and girth stretching to the 1.5 inch diameter of the #4 dilator.
- I did not like the silicone dilators
- I found them harder to clean and more “grabby” (this grabbiness may be due to the stitches interaction with the dilators not the silicone itself)
- They pick up dust easier
- You can’t work on vaginal depth significantly
- Another reason I bought these was that with these dilators you can also work on vaginal depth at the same time as girth.
- Maddy did not share my experience, and instead recommends the silicone variety. (She has only used the initial set Dr Hart provides).
- She remarks that especially in the early days it was easy to hurt herself with the #P1 as it was quite rigid, and appreciated the provided silicone “Small Set” much more.
- This may be due to the P#1’s small diameter coming to a relatively sharp point, I did not experience this with the larger iterations of the GRS Pelvic Trainer dilator set.
- She was content with the provided set, and is happy with general girth. She finds this girth adequate for masturbation, but has not pursued penetrative sex.

Other dilators I’ve heard about
- Bien, an Australian company
- Found through my own research, I was looking for a larger dilator than the #4 Soul Source. I tried Bien’s size 8 but it was barely any larger as I think although it is physically larger, it has elasticity where the plastic ones don’t.
- If you do want silicone ones, these would probably be my recommendation, but I haven’t tried all of them.
- It annoys me that they indent their brand name on the side.
- Vagiwell
- I have no idea about these
- Intimate Rose
- Also no idea about these
Other information
- Dilators larger than the Soul Source #4 or Bien Size 8 has been something I’ve been unable to find. If you have found any such items, please let me know so they can be added to this document.
- In future I’d look at sex toys, that’s probably where larger sizes would be.
